This Summer is like no other for many reasons. Despite that, it will forever remain our favorite season. One thing we are thrilled about is that daytripping (of course with our masks darling) for a quick getaway is still an option. Luckily one of our faves, Palm Springs is only a short trip from San Diego and Los Angeles. As some of you know, we currently have a Hand Meets Sky Residency in Palm Springs at Mojave Flea inside The Shops at 1345. You now get to experience HMS in person and we could not be more excited for you to visit. The vision for our little space was realized with my best friend Ruben Leal. (You may remember him from his HMS Guest Blog contribution about Collecting Mindfully). This has been such an extraordinary project and working with Ruben made it a dream. We created a mood board that helped determine the feel of the space. One of the most challenging parts was figuring out how to display the jewelry . We wanted something custom and Ruben was able to sketch out a design for a beautiful display case. We were so very fortunate to find Jeremy Winter @winterdesignswoodworking who handcrafted the design to a tee. He is an incredible craftsman and now I want him to make all new furniture for our house (one can daydream right?) We also had our long time friend and one of our favorite humans Saul Q @lightworksd create our sign. As usual, he did a phenomenal job... The Mojave Flea is now open and already it feels like a home away from home. Everyone involved is so inspiring and has been so gracious. It is truly an honor to be among the wonderful selection of Pottery, Vintage, Curated Treasures, Art, Plants and more. Thank you for all of the purchases and making us feel so very welcome in this lovely community. If you find your way to Palm Springs, swing by Hand Meets Sky and see the exclusive collection that you can only find there. Included below are other Hot Spots in Palm Springs we like to frequent when we are in town.
